I was born in Udine, Italy, on the 26th of February, 1962. I intensively travelled and spent lengthy periods in India, charmed by various aspects of Indian culture, where I studied Sanskrit language, philosophy and literature. I earned my Laurea diploma (MA) and Dottorato di ricerca (PhD) in Sanskrit Language and Literature, respectively, at the Rome University "Sapienza" and at the University of Turin, Italy.
